GameType is a new feature I’ve been cooking up for a while now. It’s essentially a series of retrospectives that will attempt to catalog genres. Shooters on the PS2, RPGs on the SNES, Platformers on the Xbox, and so forth. To begin I’m going to take a look at fighting games on the NES including Joy Mech Fight, Punch-Out, Karateka, Karate Champ, Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu, Ring King, Tag Team Wrestling, WWF WrestleMania, Yie Ar Kung Fu, World Champ, Urban Champion, and Tenkaichi Bushi Keru Naguuru. Enjoy!
