It's definitely got the potential to be the spiritual successor to the old fight night games, but they have a long way to go in terms of tuning, balancing, and networking fixes to get the game playable. As of now there's about 5 viable fighters people use online, and it's because they're so overpowered it's a guaranteed win. Ali is the worst of them all too, complete terminator. I'd love to see restrictions on rank to allow players who love using middle/not the best guys to actually find okay matchups. It's still early access, but things will be good if they can just keep the development moving. My number one gripe right now is how damage works, they really need to address that. Too many fighters inexplicably are impossible to hurt and too many guys are hurt by a gust of wind. The old fight night games had this down to a science, you could box for a full 15 if you were smart, and you could flash KO someone in 1 combo if you knew how to play.
The main thing players have to understand this is a incomplete game. Early Access is a incomplete game; with fans giving feedback. That's the definition. It's not fair to compare a complete game in FNC to an incomplete game in Undisputed.
the disconnect between the high tier and lower tier fighters is insane. you can beat up a high tier fighter all you want and they never go down. its rendered 90% of the roster useless. they just spam hooks and rock you. its so trash its not even funny at this point
