Good news for boxing game fans as EA Sports is working on the new Fight Night game tentatively called “Fight Night Champion 2”, if the reports and rumours are to be believed.
To celebrate the return of boxing games to consoles, I thought I would give you my list of my favourite boxing games ever. So, in no particular order, here are my five favourite boxing games since the beginning of time.

26.09.2022Did any of y’all play Victorious Boxers on PS2? I think it might have been the 2nd game. Control scheme was not my favorite because it was all analog sticks…I need face buttons. However, the game would save a replay of every fight in the campaign, win or lose. No lie, I got whooped in a fight. I clicked on the video tape and watched the whole fight over again. I treated it like a film session, saw what I did wrong in the ring and went back and knocked the same guy out next time! It is the only boxing or UFC game that I have ever played that has that feature in it.

24.09.2022Fight Night Champion is the worst boxing game ever. BECAUSE of auto block. Now before you say I'm trash know that I've won and defended the OWC several times.
Side stepping magical counter windows allow you to land rediculously long uppercuts while in mid air.
Headmovment is so taxing on stamina it is more beneficial to spam power straights.
Combinations don't break the gaurd and if they eventually do the opponent has alread side step and countered you 3 times.
The only punch that seems to effectively break the gaurd is the straight. Why if only you could choose to block the front of your face this spam attempt would be a comeplete fail.
But no, this game is absolutely garbage.
