01.05.2023something I've never understood and maybe you can share some perspective since you ran a combat sports gym why do so many places throw people in their first day or their first week right into sparring and not even lights sparring? wouldn't it make more sense to have them drill basic maneuvers for several months and learn basic defense and techniques before having them spar because if someone's going to the gym to learn something and all they learned is they got the s*** kicked out of them are they really going to come back?

01.05.2023The stamina depends on who you are. A professional champion boxer played Creed and talked about how unrealistic it was compared to Thrill. He said, “I have so much energy and it’s like I have 2 lungs and 2 hearts!” And he hated the stamina bar and a lot of other things.

01.05.2023If Creed wasn't broken I think I would like it a lot more, but the bugs ruined it for me in the story mode. During all the training segments my character would always spawn backwards or off to the side and out of the area of the training piece and I would always end up with 1 or 2 star endurance. Unfortunately a patch is just never gonna come to fix it. Stinks, because the actual boxing feels pretty good in the game.

01.05.2023Yeah, the first minute doesn't show a biased towards or against either, not at all….lol
I don't care which game has a more vocal audience, or a more toxic one. Actually, the fact that you say every where you go and every conversation you have ends up gett4ing a "fucked up comment about 'insert conversation topic here' isn't as good as "insert thrill of the fight here' " ending just kind of shows that several times more people enjoy that game to the other. And I still don't care. Which one is getting more content, which one gets updated, which one has the workout aspect, the rpg style progression aspect, the most flexibility, and which one has more / better features? That's all that matters to me.
kaz
01.05.2023Also, if you're not going out of your way to cheat (deactivating the auto adjust force multiplier) then sure, you can swing away to your heart's content; for the first few rounds, maybe 2 fights total. It by then has adjusted the force multiplier and you'll now HAVE to do that to do ANY damage to the higher up opponents (even many pros that purposfully set this to spaghetti arm strength punches and set opponent to iron chin) admit that it's one hell of a workout, and really can't be done long term and still win.

30.04.2023The slow motion free shots that creed has are my biggest problem. That and the flubber legs. So as far as a boxing simulator goes, I'd put it as a draw, and a big win for knockout league, as it has the most arcadey and gimmichy game stuff, but it has hands down the BEST training modes of any vr boxing game or app I've seen yet. The player vs player DEF puts creed overall just a touch above thrill, but only if you've got a decent group of people / community to get reliable games consistently. Without that, I'd say thrill for fun factor, knockout league for flat training usefulness, and creed for niche pvp and for theming to rocky.
Graphics wise is completely subjective and to try and make the comparison without tossing a cord on to run in pcvr mode, you really don't have anything to compare their original intended look to the mobile quest 2 result after ported. You'll notice thrill is much closer to it's original, and had a much smaller budget. Sure, you don't hyave arms or legs in thrill, but the engine is way less "cartoony', more photo realistic. So depending on your personal preference, photo realistic is always harder to nail, and they do quite well porting to quest with minimal loss of fidelity. They took arms out in order to help optimize, but legs they never put in because it flat out doesn't work well PERIOD without full body tracking no matter what boxing game you're playing, which wasn't available at the time these games were made. Get in creed, look at legs and dance around a bit and see how non intuitive it gets. That's why thrill didn't render legs, and without full body tracking, it will stay that way.
Another big difference is what playspace you're using. In a full 6m x 6m playspace, which one makes better use of the space, and which one tends to have you basically standing in place, with maybe a shuffle step or two to the side and back once in a while?
Which one can you literally chin dodge, without it being a matter of just ANY head movement back or down equals a dodge?
Which one tests you (as a trained fighter) in your ability to judge distance accurately?
These are the things I think you should have made points about, and if yu cover this topic again, I'd like to see your in depth thoughts on knockout league's training scenarios.

30.04.2023It doesn’t matter which game you purchase as long as you have enough space around you 😂. You’re so into the fight that your lamp, blinds, and shelves are all destroyed as well as your roommates jaw! Clear the room before starting 😅

30.04.2023They are both technically Technique driven games. Hate it when people say they are not. You still gotta learn how to play and adapt to the mechanics. And when it comes to pvp obviously..(i know ttotf doesn’t have that yet but when it does)..there will be players that are better then others bcz they know the mechanics and know Techniques to use in the games

30.04.2023i know this is an old video but didnt the endurance mode for creed come out like a year ago which removed the artificial stamina ?
iOnlyhitdingers
30.04.2023I have thrill of the fight and I’m starting to not like it because I feel like I have to throw my hand like if I’m using a hammer rather than an actual punch because in that game all that matters is hitting them as hard as you can.

30.04.2023Sad that Tommy 'The Duke" Morrison wouldn't be added. I wonder why? That dude was an amazingly fun glass-cannon to watch IRL, and Rocky 5 was totally legit. Sad news for Tommy all around.
That aside, I only have TOTF and find it a great workout and it 'feels' smooth. However, it's super shallow. It has zero narrative, which makes it a totally different experience. You also can't customize your own avatar/character, which feels missing. As far the stamina thing is concerned, I can agree with both sides of the argument, depending on what kind of game you want.

29.04.2023Hi. I liked your video that's why I hit the like on the video. I bough a Quest 2 with 128 GB space last year and I bougght myself Creed Rise to Glory for both standalone and Rift. And I even like it really. The story is really fun so the endurance mode is. But the stucking fist and stretching arm gliches is horrible. The devs don't even fix it. They just leave it in the game. F*ck the devs of Creed Rise to Glory they just leave gliches like those in the game. And theese gliches make the game quite unplayable. Meanwhile any of theese gliches occur you cannot defend yorself and you cannot do the recover either. Any chance that any of you knows how to solve theese gliches?

29.04.2023The thing I like about Thrill is is let’s you dictate how you fight.
I haven’t played Creed but it looks a little more “arcade” for lack of a better term. I could be wrong. However I would love to play it.

29.04.2023thrill of the fight can be very frustrating due to shots going trhough my guard and uppercuts not being a thing, investing into the body also sucks because it has no effect despite my opponents body looking like a pride flag

29.04.2023Hi, I don’t box anymore so technically my opinion doesn’t matter but when you land shots it actually energized you to keep going. It’s a psychological thing. Thrill is good because your stamina in game is your stamina IRL. 3.5 years ago, it’s the game that got me into boxing in the first place
hi
29.04.2023For me I haven't had a oculus for a single year so don't take my opinion seriously. I love fighting if I want a good workout I'll go to blade and sorcery but I just got thrill of the fight. I love it, it's fun and really hard to do but not only that it's cheap creed is $25 I think I have no problem but if I want a workout for cheap I'ma pick thrill

29.04.2023Creed fanboy clearly

29.04.2023You say one of the main differences is creed has “forced exhaustion” where if you punch too fast your fighter becomes tired. Lol well in Thrill it’s the same thing except in reality YOUr fighter becomes tired 😅
Rookless
29.04.2023As a big fan of Thrill of the fight Creed sure looks interesting. Having a decent story and pvp makes it seem more like a complete game when you compare the two. But atm I play Outclassed on Thrill of the fight so I hope Creed will give a comparable challenge.

28.04.2023Who wants to add me as a friend we can fight each other? Perhaps it's a good alternative to when the server is full…

28.04.2023You should try out "The Fight" it's an app lab game. It's very similar to Thrill of The Fight but the training is so much better.

28.04.2023How do you fight bare knuckle in creed????
AshePlays
28.04.2023Some problems with creed that you might not notice and make you realize that gameplay is very different from thrill.
Punch Damage
1. When you punch, it's either blue or red, blue meaning you did 10 damage and red meaning you did 20, but since it's almost impossible to land a blue punch while you are in a match every punch is basically 20 damage so it's only how many times you can punch in a second
Blocking
2. Punching an enemies block literally does nothing. In thrill of the fight, depending on which punch you performed and how much force you put into the punch and the enemy blocked it, the hands will move and can push the enemy back a little bit.
Health Points
3. Creed uses a health bar and considering that you can only do 20 damage per hit is kind of lame. In thrill of the fight there is no health bar, as each punch you use is a different effect and depending on how hard you hit them and where really affects your gameplay, this makes it so combos actually matter (like in actual boxing)
The only real thing to worry about in Thrill is the way you fight. Before playing I would recommend learning the basics of boxing so that your form and punching power is accurate.
In my opinion thrill of the fight is a much better work out and if it's too easy, or you want to practice things such as dodging, or reaction time, you can specially customize the opponents traits to however you want it to be, so the game doesn't get old and boring.

28.04.2023I got both games and pvp is the best

28.04.2023Funny how none of the things totf is actually good at was a category. Realism, difficulty, intensity, when you get punched hard your screen goes grey and your character grunts, crowd cheers etc. Although I agree with everything said in the video except some of mechanics, you hardly have to punch at all in creed and in totf disable mass multiplier and set it 1-1.2, makes it a LOT more realistic in every way.

28.04.20232:50 is bs i get more tired in thrill of the fight than i get actually hitting somthing

28.04.2023Idk why people are saying creed isn’t as good of a workout. I did the campaign for like 10 minutes and was sweating like crazy and very exhausted. Im sure TOTF isa good workout as well, but creed is just as good. I also like the exhaustion meter because you cant just throw punches mindlessly. You actually have to know when and where to punch. TOTF you can just swing punches
Edit:
Just realized you can remove the exhaustion meter!

28.04.2023Some times I get winded when I punch my keys so hard to win a match in CS:GO I imagine I would be a pretty good Boxer, so here we are now … Look gamers that want to do VR Boxing really all thought it will be Online and PvP. Creed got that so Creed wins. Trill of the Fight needs online or go home.

27.04.2023I do recommend listening to music while playing Thrill. It will keep you playing longer, especially if you are using it as a workout routine.
